Douglas A. Wright is a member of Holland & Knight's Public Companies and Securities practice group. His experience includes corporate and tax planning and business litigation. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions in a variety of industries. He also has extensive experience in the formation and structure of all types of business entities, including corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies.
Mr. Wright's tax experience includes counseling clients on tax issues related to corporate and partnership formations, acquisitions, and reorganizations. He has also advised individuals concerning income and estate and gift tax planning. Mr. Wright has extensive experience handling administrative tax appeals and litigation involving federal income taxes, federal estate and gift taxes, and taxes imposed by Florida state and local governmental units. He has litigated cases in the United States Tax Court and the federal and state trial courts in Florida. Mr. Wright is also certified as a civil mediator by the Supreme Court of Florida.
Mr. Wright has advised clients concerning numerous business disputes. This experience includes the litigation of shareholder derivative, buy-sell agreement, franchise, partnership, and trust cases.
