In 1995, Dominic founded the Kelowna business law firm of Thiessen Petraroia with William Thiessen. Over the succeeding years, the firm grew and became a well established business law firm in the Okanagan. On March 1, 2008 Petraroia Langford LLP merged with Farris, Vaughan, Wills & Murphy LLP and this was the first merger in Farris’ 105 year history. Dominic remains the Managing Partner of Farris’ Kelowna office.

Dominic provides legal counsel to a wide range of businesses and individuals. He has assisted and counselled clients through the entire business spectrum from start-up, to expansion and divestment. He has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions related to the high tech industry; commercial lending; commercial, residential and resort development; and inter-generational wealth and business transfers.

Dominic is also committed to contributing to the community. He was instrumental in the founding of the Urban Development Institutes’ Kelowna Chapter in the early 90’s and has also served as a director in the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce. Dominic has significant experience in charitable work, having served as the president of each of the Central Okanagan Foundation, the Central Okanagan United Way, and the Okanagan Symphony Society. He is also a past Chair of the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation and former member of the Kelowna Salvation Army Advisory Board. He is a current director of UDI Okanagan.
