Prior to entering private practice Mr. Christopher had served as a Denver Deputy District Attorney and Assistant United States Attorney for the Federal District of Colorado.  During his tenure at the District Attorney’s Office he was appointed as a Special Prosecutor for police corruption in another jurisdiction and handled a state Grand Jury investigation. He next served as a partner at the law firm of Kennedy and Christopher, P.C. where he handled malpractice defense, civil rights and healthcare matters. While in private practice he defended and advised doctors, hospitals and other healthcare professionals in jury trials and before regulatory agencies. He developed risk management, healthcare protocols, and physician contracts, governmental compliance programs, manuals as well as handling EEOC issues for governmental and private entities unique to healthcare. He handled defense of alleged civil rights violations for police departments, Federal law Enforcement and Health Care Institutions. In 2005 Mr. Christopher accepted the position as regulatory counsel for CCMS, L.L.C. While serving as regulatory counsel for CCMS he and the legal team were instrumental in developing legal compliance for surgical centers in fourteen states. In that capacity he handled EEOC complaints and conciliation, doctor contracts, OSHA and Department of Health matters, doctor disputes, enterprise risk management, developed internal compliance policies for surgical centers  and was approved by a major insurance company to handle and monitor suits and/or complaints against health care providers including alleged malpractice claims and employment law issues. Consequently Mr. Christopher has been continuously involved in litigation matters and advising clients. He has now joined The Waltz Law Firm as Special Counsel to continue his practice focused on Healthcare defense, defense and counsel in all healthcare related areas as well as internal investigations and critical incident response.  

Mr. Christopher has been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates by his colleagues (150 jury trials), Best Lawyers in Denver, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, 2013 Top Rated Lawyers in Healthcare and has maintained his AV rating. He was elected to the Board of directors of the Faculty of Federal Advocates for the Federal District of Colorado, and as President of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. He is a member of the ABA, CBA, American Health Lawyers Association and litigation sections of his Bar Associations. He has lectured extensively on legal subjects. He holds degrees from the University of Colorado, Idaho University (MBA) and his JD from the University of Denver.
