Dan Hinkel’s practice is focused on matters related to real estate, real estate taxation, and commercial litigation. He also assists clients in transactional and corporate matters.
His experience encompasses a range of commercial property matters including the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, mortgage financing transactions, lease negotiations and property tax. His counsel has addressed a range of tax issues including taxes pertaining to not-for-profit entities, transferee liability, reorganization of corporate entities and federal tax reassessments.
He has appeared on behalf of clients regarding tax valuation issues at the Board of Revision, Ohio Board of Tax Appeals, Court of Common Pleas and the Ohio Supreme Court.
Dan is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and its Real Estate and Young Lawyers Sections. In 2016, Dan was appointed to serve as Real Estate Section Executive Committee-Treasurer.
