Dan Bagatell spends most of his time on post-trial and appellate matters, focusing on disputes involving complex technology and complicated statutes. Dan chairs the firm’s Federal Circuit patent appellate practice, and he regularly briefs and argues cases in appellate courts around the country. Dan also writes and edits critical trial court papers such as Markman briefs, summary judgment motions, oppositions to class certification, motions for judgment as a matter of law and new trial motions. In addition, clients often enlist Dan to work on special projects such as amicus briefs, case analyses and white papers. Dan works closely with lawyers in offices and practices throughout Perkins Coie, and he enjoys teaming with lawyers at other firms as well.
