Recognized since 1995 by Best Lawyers, (Defense of Legal Malpractice, Medical Malpractice, and Personal Injury), and named repeatedly as one of Lawdragon's 500 leading lawyers in the United States, and Mr. Baldwin has over 40 years experience as a civil trial lawyer. A Fellow in, and Past Missouri State Chair of, the American College of Trial Lawyers, his trial and appellate practice has focused most heavily on professional liability, insurance coverage, catastrophic injury and death, and even estate litigation, having concluded well over 100 jury trials and dozens of appeals.
Over his career to date, he has represented defendants in virtually every well known medical specialty and lawyer specialty, in claims valued up to $350 million, as well as many other professions including, most notably accounting and engineering. His representation of catastrophic injury or commercial claims, valued from $1 million to $300 million, has spanned a wide variety of industries, including computer software, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, PVC commercial piping, urban storm sewer systems, fire sprinkling/suppression systems, commercial and consumer electrical installation, commercial and consumer HVAC systems, propane and natural gas delivery systems, overhead cranes, steel cable fabrication, cement mixers, locomotive cab design, industrial manufacturing facilities including steel manufacturing plants, soap and detergent plants, dog food plants, mattress assembly plants, steel refinement, product fabrication, and machining facilities.
Throughout most of his career, Mr. Baldwin frequently lectured and authored advice articles regarding trial practice, lawyer professional ethics and legal malpractice.
