Alan Brackett was called to the Ontario bar in 1995, followed by the Alberta bar in 2000. Prior to joining James H. Brown & Associates in 1999, Mr. Brackett accumulated extensive experience in the insurance industry, working as a senior member of the claims department of one of the largest insurance companies in Canada. Since joining the team, Mr. Brackett has used his knowledge and experience to advocate on behalf of motor vehicle accident victims.
Throughout his career, Mr. Brackett has successfully concluded challenging cases involving severe brain injuries, paraplegia and quadriplegia. He has enjoyed a proven record of success for his clients, including a $5.8 million spinal cord injury settlement, the largest in the firm’s history. Mr. Brackett has been awarded a Best Lawyers Canada Certificate recognizing his excellence in legal practice.
Mr. Brackett has extensive experience as legal counsel in negotiation, mediation and judicial dispute resolution of civil claims. He is a member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association, the Law Society of Alberta and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Mr. Brackett is married with three children. Away from work, Mr. Brackett devotes his time to serving his community by directing consumer action groups, serving as chairperson for his children’s school councils, and coaching youth hockey and soccer.
