Barnwell Whaley Patterson & Helms member Randell C. Stoney, Jr. has been appointed managing member of the firm. He succeeds B.C. Killough, who has held that position for more than a decade. Killough remains with the firm as a member.
A third generation attorney, Stoney joined Barnwell Whaley in 2006 and focuses his law practice on premises and product liability, construction law and general liability litigation; he is also a South Carolina Supreme Court certified mediator and arbitrator. Stoney is no stranger to leadership, having served on the executive committees of both the Berkeley and Charleston Bar Associations, as president of the latter and as chairman of the Commissioners of the Pilotage for the Port of Charleston. Additionally, he is and has served on numerous advisory and executive boards including the Center for Heirs Property, Trident Technical College Foundation, Goodwill Industries, the Preservation Society of Charleston, and The College of Charleston Alumni Board.
