Before becoming a Hawaii lawyer, Brown worked for two of the most prominent law firms in the nation. Mr. Brown then joined the litigation section of the New York law firm Reid & Priest (later Thelen Reid & Priest). As a New York lawyer, Mr. Brown represented corporate clients focusing primarily on commercial litigation. In 1993, Mr. Brown moved to Hawaii joining its largest firm, Carlsmith Ball. In 1995, famed Hawaii Plaintiffs lawyer Dave Schutter recruited Mr. Brown to pursue the claims of approximately 4,000 plaintiffs in a large commercial litigation. After two years, the case resulted in a $39 million settlement for the Plaintiffs. In October 1997, Mr. Brown started this law office, in which he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of cases.
