Case History

Pierrette Chicoine and others vs Gaetan Desnoyers and others Superior court April 19 2006 Justice Richard Mongeau — Legal malpractice and Fraud. We were representing an innocent  partner of a firm sued for over a million dollars for Fraud committed by a partner who had taken money from his trust account for his own personnal use.  We established the partnership was only to share expenses but not to share clients or control of trust accounts which stayed under the control of each lawyer individually. The action was a test case for all similar partnership in the province. The action was dismissed against the innocent partner.
