Bill Neen's practice includes general insurance litigation. He focuses on products liability claims, fire claims with a special interest in fraud-related cases, business loss, and construction litigation.
Bill has been counsel on many cases before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of the Yukon and the British Columbia Court of Appeal. He also has extensive experience in mediations.
Bill is a past Managing Director of Whitelaw Twining, and he leads the firm's Product Liability Group.
Bill's cases have included:
- the successful defence of a product liability case involving a significant loss at a chemical storage facility
- the prosecution of numerous surrogated actions including a fire loss arising out of design and construction deficiencies
- numerous successful resolutions of leaky building litigation through mediation
- the successful defence of a fraudulent property claim requiring evidence to be garnered in France and Germany the defence of several arson cases
Bill is currently handling a variety of files including class action litigation, food poisoning files, fire and other subrogation's and defences, as well as coverage opinions and litigation.
