Viacheslav Kliukin is a registered patent attorney (patents, trade-marks and industrial designs) in Gowlings' Moscow office, specializing in all areas of patent and trade-mark prosecution, cancellation and other related proceedings in the patent office.
Prior to joining Gowlings, Viacheslav was joint managing partner of an intellectual property firm in Moscow, and worked for several years as a patent examiner at the USSR State Patent Office.
Viacheslav also actively participated in the drafting of what is now the current intellectual property legislation in Russia.
Representative Work — Viacheslav is an advocate in the civil courts of Russia in matters dealing with infringement of patent and trade-mark rights, and has spoken at various conferences in Russia and abroad on the subject of intellectual property. He acted as Counsel for Coca-Cola for various patent infringement proceedings in Russia; he also he represented Alladin Corporation in connection with trade-mark cancellation matters and advised on the trade-mark prosecution of the mark E-Token.
Community Involvement — Viacheslav is an advocate of the Civil and Arbitration Courts of Russia in matters dealing with the protection of intellectual property rights.
