Tiara B. Shoter, a seasoned trial lawyer, is a partner in the Louisville office of Boehl Stopher & Graves, LLP, an AV-rated regional law firm with five offices founded in 1895. She maintains residences in Palm Beach County, Florida and Louisville, Kentucky.
Tiara predominantly defends wrongful death nursing home, medical malpractice and health care negligence claims in state, federal and appellate courts in Kentucky. She regularly represents long term care and rehab facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, physician practices, nurses, therapists, EMS agencies, air ambulance transport companies, pharmacists, dentists, perfusionists, chiropractors, fitness/wellness coaches, and other health care professionals. She assists clients with professional licensure defense, regulatory violations, involuntary discharge appeals and other administrative law matters. She provides individualized consulting and risk management guidance aimed at reducing the frequency and exposure of claims.
Tiara also defends sexual tort/molestation claims arising in the long term care, church and educational settings. Her legal practice includes the defense of general professional liability claims as well as a broad spectrum of employment law matters such as ERISA, wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, EEOC, and golden parachute disputes. Tiara also has experience defending general personal injury negligence, insurance bad faith, consumer fraud, product and medical device liability, premises liability, commercial trucking, malicious prosecution, and defamation claims.
In a pro bono capacity, Tiara serves as legal counsel to the Executive Board of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry.

Prior to joining Boehl Stopher & Graves, LLP in 2001, Tiara served as General Counsel for a technology company focused on the legal market; defended insurance litigation claims at Stockschlaeder, McDonald & Sules, PC in New York; litigated plaintiff medical malpractice and product liability claims at Reingold & Tucker in New York; and while employed with the New York City Law Department, Office of Corporation Counsel, Brooklyn Tort Division, defended the Police, Transportation, Parks and Board of Education Departments in multi-million dollar civil lawsuits.
