Taras Derkatsch is a Senior Associate in the IP/IT Practice Group at BEITEN BURKHARDT’s Moscow office.
Taras Derkatsch graduated with distinction from the Saratov State Academy of Law in 2007 and continued his post-graduate studies at the same state institution of higher education. In 2011 Taras was awarded a Ph.D. in law.
Mr. Derkatsch's core activities include consulting on the protection of rights to intellectual property: inventor’s patents, utility models and industrial prototypes, and also copyright, know-how, and first and foremost trademark rights. Mr. Derkatsch also advises on information technologies. In addition, Mr. Derkatsch advises on issues of contract law, in particular on international contract law and dispute resolution.
Mr. Derkatsch is also listed in Best Lawyers and has been included in the Legal500 list of recommended lawyers.
Taras is Deputy Chairman of the Legal Committee at the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK), and also a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR).
Mr. Derkatsch has authored numerous publications and lectures regularly at conferences in Russia and abroad.
