Case History

Representing a housing authority that has been approved for the HUD sponsored Rental Assistance Demonstration (“RAD”) program
Will be used in conjunction with low income housing tax credits and other mixed finance sources for the rehabilitation of a 200 plus unit apartment complex. This represents one of the first RAD awards from HUD, and will be one of the first projects to combine RAD with tax credits and other mixed financing.
Represented a housing authority in conjunction with a HUD HOPE VI grant — Which was used in conjunction with low income housing tax credits and a variety of mixed finance sources (including 4% credits and a bond issue) to build eight separate low income housing tax credit projects. This was one of a select number of HOPE VI grants given nationwide, and was unique due to the number of separate projects done (8) and the multiple mixed financing sources used.
Represented an oil and gas investor with the structured foreclosure on an operating oil and gas company and then with the day to day operational issues — Including land ownership disputes and trespass issues, investor issues related to various oil and gas packages, and issues related to ownership and control of transmission pipeline. This was significant due to the scope of services we were required to satisfy the client’s needs-everything from structuring the foreclosure to dealing with individual land owners disputes.
Advised international machinery equipment company — on insuring accounts receivable generated in Latin America and the subsequent sale of the accounts receivable to financial institutions.
