Sandra Clark joined the firm in 1980 and became a shareholder in 1985. She has served three terms on the Management and Compensation Committees. Sandra is the engagement partner for the firm in its role as one of DuPont's primary law firms. She is also a member of the MDL Advisory Committee for the Texas Asbestos MDL. She has tried many complex cases successfully to verdicts in difficult jurisdictions. She was one of two MehaffyWeber attorneys who obtained one of the top 10 defense verdicts recognized by the National Law Journal in 2001. Sandra served as Chair of the Advisory Committee of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for Personal Injury Trial Law for 2011-2012.

Sandra has a Bachelor and Masters of Arts degree in English and History and received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from The University of Houston in 1980. She is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by The Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Sandra has given many presentations on a variety of topics including Class Action and Tort Cases, Discovery, Defending Punitive Damages, Asbestos Medicine and New MDL rules for a variety of business and professional groups. While at The University of Houston Law Center, Sandra was an editor of the Law Review, a member of the Board of Barristers and Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. She is a past member of the Board of the Jefferson County Bar Association, the State Bar Committee on Professionalism, and was the Chair of the Advisory Committee of the Texas Board of Legal Certification for Personal Injury Litigation.

Sandra is a member of the Texas Bar Foundation, the American Bar Foundation, the American Inns of Court, Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, Products Liability Advisory Council, the American and Texas Bar Associations, American Board of Trial Advocates, Texas Association of Defense Trial Attorneys and the Defense Research Institute. She is a member of DuPont Legal Leadership Circle and recently received the Andrew C. Hecker Award at the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel Annual Meeting. This award is presented for the outstanding article published in the FDCC Quarterly for the previous year. The article "The Art of Cross Examination" was selected for its practical and creative approaches to this valuable trial skill. She was a Recipient of a Presidential Citation for Service to the State Bar of Texas in 2011 to 2012.
Sandra has been recognized in "Best Lawyers in America®" from 2000 to 2014. She was named "Beaumont's Best Lawyers® Product Liability Litigation-Defendants Lawyer of the Year" in 2011. Only a single lawyer in each specialty in each community is honored with this designation. She has also been named a "Texas Super Lawyers®" by Law & Politics and published in Texas Monthly magazine since 2003. She has also been listed as "Top 50 Female Super Lawyer® in Texas" and "Top 100 Super Lawyers® in the Houston Area," from 2006-2010, 2012-2013 and as a "Top Lawyer in Houston." Sandra has also been selected for inclusion in "Super Lawyers®" Corporate Counsel Edition since 2008 and in the Super Lawyers® Business Edition, for 2011 to 2013. In this publication, she was named "Top Super Lawyer" in Personal Injury Defense: General, 2009-2013.
