Mr. Wright also has significant experience in litigation involving the world of sports. He represented The Big East Conference, the University of Pittsburgh, the University of West Virginia, Rutgers University and the University of Connecticut in the litigation filed by the University of Miami relating to its switch to the ACC. He has represented a number of individual athletes, including a reigning heavyweight champion, in various matters, including a case involving the disappearance of three world championship belts. Additionally, he also has acted as local counsel for a corporate entity that brought suit against the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) for breach of a licensing agreement.
