Rob also represents private companies and entrepreneurs in diverse transactions, including acquisitions, public and private debt financing, joint ventures and general corporate governance.
Rob has played several important leadership roles at Brownstein including co-chair of the firm’s nationally recognized Real Estate Department and lead shareholder on some of the region’s largest real estate developments.
Rob’s experience representing companies with large real estate portfolios help him efficiently manage deals. He supports one of the largest private holders of retail properties in the U.S. Rob coordinates its acquisition, disposition and financing while providing strategic advice to the company’s leadership.
Rob’s practice spans the life cycle of commercial real estate transactions—acquisition, financing, leasing, development and disposition—of retail, industrial office and multi-family, master-planned communities. He is known for his work on The Streets at SouthGlenn, an urban lifestyle destination that includes nearly one million square feet of retail space, 140,000 square feet of office space and 200 for-rent luxury residences. Rob led the developer through the myriad of issues related to large-scale real estate development, including joint venture structuring, public-private partnerships, construction contracts and loans, land use, condemnation, leasing, corporate and municipal tax and environmental issues.
Led efforts for the redevelopment of a large outdoor mall to create a new, mixed-use center, including retail, residential and office space. The firm managed the joint venture structuring, eminent domain process, public and private financing, construction matters, creation of governing documents, national anchors tenant negotiations and leasing of more than one-million-rentable square feet of retail, office and residential space to national, regional and local retailers.
Represented an industrial real estate investment trust in the acquisition and forward purchase of industrial properties across the U.S.
Served as strategic advisor for one of the country's largest residential home builders to complete the acquisition of various real estate assets and entity interests related to the development of both commercial and residential property in multiple counties.
