Robert Vosbein joined Adams and Reese in 1968 and serves as Of Counsel in the Litigation Group. He has served in various management positions throughout his career at Adams and Reese, including Partner-in-Charge of the New Orleans office from 1999-2004, Leader of the Commercial Practice team and Chairman of the Executive Committee from 1996-1998.
As one of the firm's most experienced litigators, Robert has handled litigation matters in the United States District Courts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Texas; the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court. He has also argued at various levels of state courts in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Texas. He is admitted to practice in Louisiana and Florida.
Over the past 40 years, Robert has developed a broad range of experience including maritime, commercial and securities litigation; environmental and toxic tort; general corporate and business counseling; gaming law and entertainment law.
His other significant contributions include:
- Serving as past faculty of the Tulane Law School Trial Advocacy Program and now on the Tulane Law School Dean's Advisory Board.
- Serving in the United States Navy Reserve Judge Advocate General Corps, and achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
- Defense representation of large corporate clients such as PepsiCo.
- Representing and assisting large movie studios such as Fox Studios in earning millions of dollars of tax credits in connection with filming in Louisiana.
Robert is a member of several professional organizations including the New Orleans, Louisiana State, Florida State and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.
In his free time, Robert enjoys travel, skiing, boating and golf.
