Mr. Meyer rejoined the Porter Wright in 2005 following nearly twelve years as General Counsel and Secretary of Dominion Homes, Inc., a publicly traded regional homebuilding company and a client of the firm. Mr. Meyer also served as Senior Vice President (1995-2005) and Vice President (1993-1995) of Dominion. Prior to joining Dominion Homes, Mr. Meyer had practiced with Porter Wright for fifteen years. He has considerable experience in a wide variety of zoning and land development matters, having secured or directed the securing of zoning and other entitlement approvals for over 30,000 residential units, as well as numerous commercial and industrial developments. He has also represented clients in a variety of matters arising under the federal Clean Air Act and Ohio's air pollution statute, and rules and policies implementing both. Mr. Meyer is listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Land Use and Zoning Law and is recognized among the top attorneys in Ohio in Chambers USA for his practice in Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use. Mr. Meyer chairs the firm's Green Practice Group. He is an Accredited Professional under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) green building program. At the time he secured his LEED AP credential, he was the second lawyer in Ohio to do so. He is a regular speaker on land development and related topics.
