Ramón joined Ramón y Cajal in September 1999. Currently he is a Partner responsible of the Litigation and Insolvency Department and practices in the areas of civil process, commercial, arbitration and insolvency.
Within civil and commercial litigation law, he dedicates his practice to cases of breach of commercial contracts, lawsuits dealing with the responsibility of administrators and all types of banking contracts (swaps, structured bonds, etc.) and, in general, all things relating to business law.
He acts as lawyer in all national arbitration courts, as well as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He is also an arbiter for the Managing Board of the Chambers of Commerce (Consejo Superior de Cámaras de Comercio) and different ad hoc arbitrations.
Ramón specialises in corporate restructuring processes, advising large companies and financial institutions in pre-bankruptcy and bankruptcy proceedings. He manages bankruptcy proceedings as the lawyer of the bankrupt company itself, as well as for significant creditors seeking to defend their interests in the process.
