Peter Glowacki is Regional Co-Leader (Planning and Administration) of BLG's Vancouver Family Wealth Counsel Group and practises primarily in the areas of wills, trusts and estates law, including over 20 years of experience in all aspects of trust and estate planning, administration and litigation. This includes the planning, preparation and ongoing advice to settlors, will-makers, executors, trustees and beneficiaries pertaining to all aspects of inter-vivos, First Nations settlement, off-shore and testamentary trusts.
Peter has a TEP designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is a member of the CBABC Wills and Trusts Section, Treasurer and executive member of the CBA Charity and Not-for-Profit Law Section, and a Member of Estate Planning Council of Vancouver and Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP).
Peter has participated in the planning and presentation of numerous educational sessions to various professional and public groups relative to wills, trusts and estates as well as not-for-profit matters, including the CBA BC Wills and Trusts Section, STEP, CLE BC, Independent Financial Brokers, Estate Planning Council, CAGP and Pacific Business & Law Institute.
Peter is the author of "Building Plans" (STEP Journal) and "Real Property Planning," (STEP Inside), and is a contributor to the CLE BC - BC Probate and Estate Administration Practice Manual, 2015 Update, the Lexis Practice Advisor Canada module on Wills, Trusts and Estates for British Columbia and the text ADR and Trusts: An international guide to arbitration and mediation of trust disputes.
Peter is a Member of the Board of Directors of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and Co-chair of its Governance Committee.
Peter has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 2014, 2015 and 2016 Editions of The Best Lawyers in Canada in the practice area of Trusts and Estates and has also received a Martindale-Hubbell® BV® Distinguished™ 4.4 out of 5 Peer Review Rating.
