Perry is a Member in Stoll Keenon Ogden's Lexington office, and has been with the firm since 1984. He is a member of the Tort, Trial & Insurance Services Practice. Perry's practice focuses on professional negligence (non-medical), personal injury, products liability, fire and explosion, insurance coverage and defense, insurance bad faith, and mediation. Perry is AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America®, is honored as a Kentucky Super Lawyer and recognized by Benchmark Litigation as a "Local Litigation Star" for his many legal accomplishments. When an explosion caused by a vendor's product destroyed his client's factory, he secured the client with a compensatory award of $122 million, the largest in state history. The verdict included damages for the destruction of the plant and lost profits. The jury also awarded $1.3 million dollars in punitive damages. As a result, Perry is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an achievement for trial lawyers who receive a trial verdict or settlement of one million dollars or more. Perry is a member of the Fayette County, Kentucky, and American Bar Associations, as well as the Defense Research Institute, the National Association of Insurance Investors, and the American Association for Justice. Perry was also a Certified Public Accountant. To give back to the community, he serves as a Deacon and a Sunday school teacher for Arlington Christian Church. He was a Board Member and a Coach for the Woodford Youth Soccer Association and a Board Member for the Midway Foundation for Integrative Medicine. Married with four children, he enjoys bicycling, running, and soccer in his spare time.
CTA Acoustics vs. Borden Chemical (products liability/explosion) — After a seven week trial, the largest compensatory award by jury verdict in Kentucky, May 21, 2007, $122 Million Dollars, CTA Acoustics vs. Borden Chemical et. al, Laurel Circuit Court. Client's factory was destroyed by an explosion caused by a vendor’s product. The verdict included compensatory damages for the destruction of the plant and lost profits. The jury also award $1.3 million dollars in punitive damages.

with Plaintiff claiming $36 million dollars in lost profits against our client.
Ultimately after a 10 year court battle, the Kentucky Supreme Court issued a
complete defense verdict for the client.
