Nicole Nehme has over 20 years of experience in regulatory matters and competition law. She is generally regarded as being the most specialized and high-ranked qualified lawyer in these areas in Chile. She is in charge of the Competition Department since FerradaNehme was founded. She has been involved in some of the most emblematic competition cases in Chile, is a lecturer on competition law at Universidad de Chile and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, has several publications on antitrust, is frequently invited to give seminars at different universities and was involved in the preparation of the upcoming reform of the Competition Law. She was elected as one of the best litigators of Chile and, in several occasions, as leading woman in different academic and public fields in Chile.
In Ferrada Nehme, she provides consulting services primarily in the areas of competition, antidumping, administrative and economic regulation (telecommunications, gas, public works, energy, transport, banks, financial institutions, environmental), and international contracting. She has advised, developed judicial and administrative strategies and carried out legal proceedings regarding antitrust and public law regulations, prepared legal opinions (for State agencies, among others), on constitutional guarantees, banking law, monetary law, antitrust, telecommunications, gas, public works, administrative contracting and private international law. She has also participated in the preparation of bills regarding constitutional matters, administrative law and economic regulation.
