Nathalie Marchand practices in Miller Thomson’s Tax and Private Client Services Groups based out of the firm’s Montréal office. She has more than 20 years' experience providing advice on tax planning, estate planning, succession planning, wills and trusts.
Throughout her professional career, Nathalie has used her expertise in this area to assist corporate and individual clients by providing straightforward advice on a variety of taxation and estate planning matters. She assists in the implementation of tax and estate plans, including internal corporate reorganization, "butterfly" transactions, estate freezes, post-mortem planning, family trusts, wills and mandates in the event of incapacity. She also advises on U.S.-Canada cross-border estate planning.
On the charities side, Nathalie assists clients with structuring organizations and applying for charitable registration with the Canada Revenue Agency.
Nathalie is a member of the Editorial Board for “Miller Thomson on Estate Planning” (Loose leaves publication, Carswell) and author of Chapter 17 “Emigration and Immigration”. She speaks regularly on tax planning, estate planning and trusts.
She is fluent in French and English.
