Michael Paul Korotkin has been instrumental in the genesis and development of Kramer Levin’s Real Estate practice, serving as both Chair and Co-chair of the department, as well as a partner for more than 40 years. As senior counsel to the firm, Mr. Korotkin remains actively engaged in the department’s efforts, counseling colleagues and clients on a myriad of complex transactions relating to all facets of the real estate industry. He represents many of the most well-recognized real estate developers and owners in New York, as well as major lending and financial institutions, and his work includes highly complex acquisitions, sales, development projects, ventures, leases, financings, loan and other restructurings, and workouts. Often called upon to coordinate efforts among various disciplines, Mr. Korotkin assembles and oversees transaction teams that combine the services of Kramer Levin’s Real Estate department with other of the firm’s practices, including Corporate, Litigation, Tax, and Corporate Restructuring and Bankruptcy. Throughout his career, he has been engaged in transactions that affect many of the more significant addresses in the New York metropolitan area and nationwide.

Among the more recent notable New York properties with which Mr. Korotkin has been involved and has led teams of Kramer Levin attorneys are The Mark Hotel and the Herzog & De Meuron architectural masterpiece at 56 Leonard Street.
