Markus Adick works exclusively in the field of white-collar and tax criminal law. He advises corporate and private clients on investigations, legal proceedings and compliance in connection with criminal, tax or other issues. His preventive advice on criminal and tax compliance benefits from his trial experience as defense counsel.
Markus started his career in 2007 with Clifford Chance in Frankfurt. In 2009 he changed to the leading tax law firm Flick Gocke Schaumburg where he was appointed associated partner in 2012. Subsequently, Markus joined the renowned criminal law boutique Thomas Deckers Wehnert Elsner as a partner in 2013. In June 2015 Markus opened an office together with a former partner of another leading criminal law firm. The offices of Rettenmaier & Adick are located in Frankfurt and Bonn. The team consists of currently four experienced lawyers plus legal support staff. An excellent network enables the firm to put together teams of specialists (e.g., tax advisors, forensic accountants, PR consultants, etc.) on demand.
Markus is a certified lawyer for criminal law. He holds a doctoral degree (Dr. iur.) in white collar law and regularly contributes to books and magazines for the legal profession. A large number of publications, in particular regarding tax law, bears witness to his experience. Inter alia, he is co-editor of a handbook on fiscal crime featuring authors from prosecution and revenue authorities as well as from universities and law firms. Furthermore, Markus is a frequent speaker at seminars for lawyers, tax experts and compliance professionals.
