My practice is focused on representing health care providers and life sciences companies on a broad range of strategic initiatives and complex compliance matters.
In addition to handling numerous mergers and acquisitions ranging from a small physician practice acquisition or sale of a home health agency, to a complete merger of a multi-state health system, I advise clients on a range of sophisticated provider networks, joint ventures and affiliations. These include hospital-physician joint ventures, joint ventures among specialty providers and joint ventures involving life sciences companies, hospitals and health systems, including joint operating company models.
I help clients navigate and comply with the full range of complex compliance issues facing the health care and life sciences industry. I counsel clients on Stark, antitrust, anti-kickback, FCA, IRC 501(c)(3), FDA, FCPA and other compliance matters. A significant focus of my practice involves representing providers and life sciences companies regarding anti-kickback Medicare/Medicaid internal and external audits, governmental investigations and corresponding self-disclosures and recoupment demands, including a more recent wave of medical device investigations involving physicians, hospitals and life sciences companies.
