Latour "LT" Lafferty is a partner in Holland &
Knight's Tampa office, focusing his practice on white collar criminal
defense/litigation, corporate internal investigations, False Claims Act (FCA)
qui tam litigation, business tort litigation, and corporate compliance
and organizational ethics.
Mr. Lafferty is a former federal prosecutor with 10 years of experience,
including having worked as an assistant United States attorney (AUSA) in Tampa,
a special prosecutor in the Office of Independent Counsel (OIC) (for matters
involving Whitewater and Monica Lewinsky), an ethics advisor to the Office of
the Counsel to President George W. Bush, and as a commissioner for the Florida
Commission on Ethics (FCE) from 2006-2008. Mr. Lafferty clerked for the Honorable John H. Moore, II, Chief Judge, United States Middle District of Florida from 1993-1995.
Mr. Lafferty proactively represents organizations and individual clients in
federal and state regulatory enforcement investigations and litigation,
including grand jury investigations, subpoena responses and productions, search
warrants, internal corporate investigations, parallel civil and administrative
litigation, arbitration and mediation, corporate compliance and ethics,
voluntary disclosures, and business torts litigation such as fraud, civil theft,
breach of fiduciary duty and theft of trade secrets.
