Josh’s practice focuses on representing companies in a variety of labor and employment matters including defending employers in employment-related litigation, especially in the areas of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, compliance with leave and wage and hour laws and regulations, and contract disputes involving restrictive covenants and trade secrets.
He also advises and represents management in traditional labor matters including arbitrations, unfair labor practice cases, union elections, contract negotiations, strikes, and alternative dispute resolution. Josh’s experience includes guiding employers through reductions in force and individual employee separations to ensure that such actions are executed in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and in a manner that minimizes risk.
Josh also provides clients with services aimed at compliance and litigation avoidance, including general human resources advice, creation and application of workplace policies and practices, training programs for management and employees, and workplace audits.
Josh works with a variety of national and local clients including employers in pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, construction, hospitality, and retail. He is the former Chair of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Georgia State Bar and is active in several business groups including the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Josh currently sits on the Board of the Diversity and Human Resources Society of the Technology Association of Georgia.
