John has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation, including securities litigation, insurance coverage disputes, corporate and partnership dissolutions, merger litigation, contract disputes, real estate litigation, restrictive covenant and trade secrets litigation and intellectual property litigation.  He has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts.

  • Representation of a lender in a suit to enforce the lease of a corporate headquarters resulting in a verdict of $7.7 million
  • Representation of investors in a private equity fund in a case involving a fund manager who was taking improper fees, resulting in a finding that the fund manager and its principal had converted fund assets and breached their fiduciary duties and awarding $5.8 million in damages
