I am the Managing Partner of Waterfall, Economidis, Caldwell, Hanshaw & Villamana P.C. in Tucson, Arizona, and the chair of the firm’s Trust & Estate Practice Group. I also serve on the Estate and Trust Advisory Commission of the State Bar of Arizona.
Admitted to practice in Arizona in 1995, I handle a broad array of matters involving trusts and estates in Tucson. In addition to preparing sophisticated estate plans to reduce estate taxes and to accomplish my clients' personal goals, I help clients probate wills, and administer trusts and probate estates after a family member's death. My Tucson practice includes representing clients in estate and trust litigation to protect their interests either as a beneficiary or as a fiduciary. I prosecute and defend breach of fiduciary duty claims and handle cases to modify or reform trusts, including will and trust contests and contested guardianship and conservatorships, and help conservators file accountings in Pima County.
I advise clients in forming and operating charitable foundations, and complying with federal and state statutes. A certified public accountant since 1987, I help clients resolve complex tax issues and assist them with preparing fiduciary income tax, estate and gift tax returns. I have earned an AV® rating – the highest rating – by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review system.
I serve on the professional advisory committee for the Tucson Community Food Bank.
