Jane E. Peak
Attorney Bio
Jane Peak, a native of Putnam County, West Virginia, is a graduate of Marshall University (1982). After a successful career in television, Ms. Peak turned to the law, graduating from the West Virginia University College of Law (1996). Since 1996, she has been a litigator with Allan N. Karlin & Associates where she represents clients in employment, medical negligence, and personal injury cases. Ms. Peak served as President of the West Virginia Employment Lawyers Association from 2000 through 2003. She is currently a member of the West Virginia Association for Justice (Executive Comm. 2008-); American Association for Justice; and Chair of the Employment Law Committee of the West Virginia State Bar. She has lectured to other lawyers on employment law issues and also taught Appellate Advocacy to law students at the West Virginia University College of Law. In 2005, Ms. Peak was recognized as Practitioner of the Year by the Women's Law Caucus of the West Virginia University College of Law. In 2012, Ms. Peak was named Practitioner of the Year for Employment Law in Morgantown, WV, by Best Lawyers and was also recognized as a Super Lawyer.
