"I have worked closely with Kent Newsome over the last 10 years on a very regular basis. In an organization our size we have a tremendous amount of transaction opportunities. Not all opportunities come to fruition. However, Kent is called to represent us on each transaction. I have worked with him side by side on very complex transactions and in lengthy negotiations. His ability to elevate an issue when necessary and to let others go when necessary is rare talent. His depth of knowledge is a tremendous resource and his interpersonal skills are impeccable. The combination of these two strengths creates an outstanding attorney I hope to work with for many years to come."

"Kent, first and foremost, has a strong knowledge of real estate law that has evolved not only from his personal education, but by his involvement in teaching real estate courses in our market. The best practitioners in this field see Kent's involvement as sign of professionalism and a reason to go out of their way to attend. The give-and-take dialog at these sessions keeps Kent at the front of an evolving discipline. Kent has superb business judgment, which he is careful to interject as he becomes more involved in a transaction. Kent is never judgmental and does not inject his own personality into a negotiation to the detriment of progress. However, he is clear and direct in his advice and often takes an underlying leadership role without being offensive. Kent is a problem-solver and has seen enough transactions to have seen quality solutions applied in multiple cases. His experience often provides solutions to otherwise sticky problems - without the need to extend sessions into expensive and drawn-out dialog. Kent is quite sensitive to the cost of his services and sincerely makes every effort to economize his practice so that his clients feel they can afford his advice and participation. Kent's personal value system is based on solid ground. I have been with him during very trying situations. His value system is non-negotiable. Kent is a good person. "

"Kent Newsome has been the lead real estate attorney for Weatherford International, Inc. for a number of years. It is widely known that Kent's experience in real estate transactions is probably the best you will find anywhere in the U.S. For as much as he represents clients on the landlord and tenant side, he has the ability to analyze a situation from both sides of the table and advises his clients accordingly. While we mainly need tenant representation, we often lease our own properties as a landlord. Having Kent's knowledge and expertise in both areas is very important to us. There is rarely a time when a deadline is not met by Kent and his staff and because of the nature of our business, short fuse timelines are often given. While there is a great sense of professionalism exhibited by Kent and his staff, his approach is down to earth and creates ease with our communication levels. Weatherford is proud to use Kent's services as our lead attorney and expects our relationship to continue for many years ahead. "
