Prof. Hilmar Raeschke-Kessler has been among the leading arbitrators, national and international, for many years. Since 1985, he has served regularly as chairman, sole arbitrator and party appointed arbitrator in international and national arbitrations (ICC, DIS, PCA, LCIA and others, ad hoc).
These arbitrations are related to disputes with a focus on post m&a, foreign investment, energy and construction.
Prof. Hilmar Raeschke-Kessler is the co-author of
• the IBA-Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Commercial Arbitration (1999) and of the revised edition (2010),
• the IBA Guidelines on Conflicts of Interest in International Arbitration (2004)
• DIS Arbitration Rules 1998.
He is a board member of DIS, the German Arbitration Institution, a member of the ICC Commission, observer at UNIDROIT and belongs to numerous panels of arbitrators. He has published widely on topics of international arbitration, most recently:
