Henry Teich has been practicing law in Asheville, NC for more than 40 years. He and his now retired law partner, Janson Grimes, founded the law offices of Grimes and Teich in 1979. Later, with the addition of partner Scott Anderson, the firm became Grimes Teich Anderson LLP.

Henry is a North Carolina Board Certified Workers Compensation Specialist whose interest is assuring that his clients get the best medical treatment available under the circumstances and that they receive protection from oppressive insurance company tactics. The clients he frequently represents are those whose injuries prevent them from returning to their previous jobs and those who may never be able to work again.

He is included in the 2016-2022 editions of Best Lawyers in America® for Workers' Compensation Law - Claimants.

Henry was selected for inclusion in the list of North Carolina Super Lawyers® in 2010, 2012-2017, and 2019-2022 and has been accepted for membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

He is a benefactor of North Carolina Advocates for Justice and was a Member of the Board of Governors of the NCAJ from 2006-2021. He is the Membership Chair of the Executive Committee of the Workers Compensation Section of the NCAJ. Henry is a 5-time recipient of the organization's Order of Service, given to members for generous contribution of service in advancing the NCAJ's mission of protecting people's rights. He is also a recipient of the Ebbie Award, given by the President of the NCAJ to members in recognition of service and inspired commitment to the organization.

Henry was an Assistant County Attorney for Buncombe County in 1980-81 and in 1987 he was appointed Public Guardian. He retired from that position in 2007 after 20 years of service to incompetent adults and mentally disabled Veterans in Buncombe County and across North Carolina.
