I represent individuals in all matters affecting the family including divorce, complex financial and closely-held business issues, child custody and placement as well as estate and pre-marital planning. My primary focus is in representing individuals in the collaborative divorce process and am an active member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin (CFLCW). I am the past Board Chair for CFLCW (2011) and was previously the Council’s Training Chair. I frequently provide training and present at workshops for other professionals regarding problem-solving negotiation at statewide, national and international conferences.
I have a Masters in Social Work and am also an experienced mediator assisting parents and couples in resolving child-related and financial issues privately and without contested court involvement. I am the co-founder with Susan Hansen of the Family Mediation Center (FMC) with locations in Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Waukesha counties. The FMC is the first dedicated interdisciplinary mediation center in southestern Wisconsin that utilizes lawyer-mediators, child- and financial-specialists to assist parents and divorcing and separating parties in making sound parenting and financial decisions.
Complex Family Matters — I routinely advise clients with complex financial and parenting issues. I specifically work with owners and spouses of closely held corporations and small businesses to maintain financial stability while divorcing.
