  • Actively involved in hostile tender offer and proxy matters seeking control for utility, bioclinical and financial business clients.
  • Counselor to families and their businesses in a variety of matters, including operations decision-making, formalizing corporate governance, management and ownership succession and business acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Counseling family foundations and other non-profits in the conduct of their charitable activities.
  • Special Counsel to the Lewis and Clark College Board of Trustees. This matter involved investigation and issuance of a report to the Board and the Oregon Attorney General concerning the College's failed loan.
  • Reorganizing (for purposes of continuing in operation as a tax exempt organization) one of Oregon's historical cemeteries.
  • Managing and participating in significant purchases and sales of businesses.
