Fred Hoff is special counsel in the firm's Tax & Estates Practice Group and practices from the Gulfport office. Prior to joining Jones Walker, he was a founding member of the law firm of Newton and Hoff, L.L.P. For 30 years, Mr. Hoff's practice includes estate planning, wills, and trusts; estate and trust administration; probate litigation; estate, gift, and income taxation; commercial real estate transactions and title insurance; corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; and commercial transactions and contracts. Mr. Hoff is a graduate of New York University School of Law where he earned his Master of Laws in Taxation. He attended The University of Mississippi School of Law where he earned his juris doctor degree and received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Millsaps College. Between his undergraduate education and law school, Mr. Hoff earned his Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") designation and worked as a staff accountant for DeMiller, Denny, Word & Company, CPAs.
