Farid is an Accredited Specialist in Immigration Law. Providing advice and assistance in all aspects of immigration and citizenship law, Farid’s clients include multinational corporations sponsoring overseas workers, significant investor visa applicants and other business migrants, general skilled migrants, partner and other family based visa applicants, students, visitors, refugee and humanitarian entrants, and people with a distinguished talent.
Leading the Fragomen Litigation & Review practice, Farid has extensive experience across the range of Courts and Tribunals which review migration and citizenship decisions. Farid also oversees the firm’s work under the Government funded Immigration Advice and Application Assistance Scheme (IAAAS).
In addition to immigration law, Farid has significant experience in related administrative law areas, including Freedom of Information. Farid has been a regular presenter of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for migration advisors since 2007.
Farid provides eligible persons in financial hardship with advice on their prospects of success with court proceedings in relation to migration decisions. In addition, he provides pro bono advice under the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) Migration Duty Solicitor Program and undertook volunteer work for the Refugee Advice and Casework Service (RACS) and the Immigration Advice and Rights Centre (IARC).
