Eric counsels well-known clients in high-profile hotel and commercial real estate development transactions. He is recognized for his skilled handling of real estate acquisitions, development, joint ventures and restructurings on behalf of his clients. He also assists in negotiating real estate financing, including building, senior and mezzanine loans.
Eric has represented major clients in several widely publicized deals, including the purchases of the Citigroup Center Building and The Sheffield in New York City and the Desert Passage in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the purchase and development of high-end residential condominium projects in New York City. He recently represented hotel owners in Miami Beach, Florida on the refinancing of senior and mezzanine debt for the W South Beach and the purchase and then sale of the iconic Raleigh Hotel.
Another strong area of focus for Eric is assisting clients in the purchase of debt, including The Miami Mart and Hotel in Florida, The Ocean Place Resort Development in New Jersey, various loan portfolios in the New York metropolitan area, and the workout and foreclosure of those mortgages.
Eric has been a panelist and moderator at major conferences, where he has spoken on “Distressed Real Estate: Strategies and Opportunities” and served as a panelist for “Show Me the Money: Commercial Real Estate Capital Markets.”
