Douglas Ballantine, a Member in the firm's Louisville office, has been with Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC since 1990. Mr. Ballantine has experience in a variety of areas, and is a member of the Business Litigation; Tort, Trial and Insurance; Intellectual Property; and Mineral and Environmental Law Practice Groups. He represents clients in commercial and intellectual property litigation. He also defends medical malpractice, product liability, and personal injury cases.
Upon graduation from Indiana University School of Law (Bloomington), Mr. Ballantine served two years as a law clerk for Honorable David V. O'Brien, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court of the Virgin Islands. He is listed in the Best Lawyers in America, recognized by Chambers USA, has received an AV Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating © and is honored as a Kentucky Super Lawyer.
Mr. Ballantine is a member of the Louisville Bar Association and is active with the Kentucky Bar Association, where he currently serves on the Board of Governors and has served on the Ethics Committee, the Finance Committee, the Professionalism Committee and the Continuing Legal Education Commission. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the Kentucky Defense Counsel and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is also a member of the Sixth Circuit Advisory Committee on Rules. Mr. Ballantine is also involved in the community, and has served on the Boards of Directors for the Blackacre Conservancy, the Legal Aid Society and Focus Louisville Alumni Group.
