Mr. Seymour is a partner in the Pittsburgh office of K&L Gates. A 1970 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, he has practiced with K&L Gates his entire career, the last 25 years of which have been devoted primarily to policyholder representations in complex insurance coverage disputes.
Insurance Coverage Litigation: Representation of corporate policyholders in counseling and litigation aimed at resolving insurance coverage disputes and maximizing policyholder coverage for mass toxic tort and product liability claims, including mediation and ADR of insurance coverage disputes.
Mr. Seymour has represented policyholders in “public record” insurance coverage litigation, including Air Liquide America L.P., Alloy Rods, Inc., American Standard, Inc., American Locomotive Co./ALCO Products, Inc. successors, C.R. Bard, Inc., Crane Co., Dresser Industries, Inc. (now Halliburton Corporation), E.I. duPont de Nemours Co., Eaton Corporation, ESAB Group, Inc., Fuller Austin Company (Creditors’ Committee), Genmar Holdings, Inc., H.K. Porter Co., Harbison Walker Refractories Co., Honeywell International Inc., Koppers Industries, Inc., National Gypsum Co. – (n/k/a/ Asbestos Claims Management Corporation), PPG Industries, Inc., United Technologies Corporation, UOP LLC, Westinghouse Electric Corporation, and Worthington Corporation.
Mr. Seymour has also been involved in asbestos coverage issues arising in the context of the bankruptcies of H.K. Porter Co., National Gypsum Company, Fuller Austin Company, Pittsburgh Corning Corporation, and Quigley Corporation.
