Born and raised on the banks of the Mississippi river in Southeastern Minnesota, Dave's family moved to Kansas in 1970. He graduated from Topeka High School and then attended both the University of Kansas in Lawrence and Kansas University Medical Center where he became a respiratory therapist. He obtained his B.A. degree in Health Care and Administration from Ottawa University and spent 5 years as the Chief Respiratory Therapist at KUMC before going to law school. Dave graduated K.U. Law in 1988 and has been in private practice with the Vasos Law Offices ever since. Dave's focus is on civil litigation with emphasis on insurance law and medical malpractice. He is a Master in the Earl O'Conner Inns of Court and a member of the Johnson and Wyandotte County Bar Associations, the American and Kansas Bar Associations and on the Board of Governors of the Kansas Association for Justice. Dave is admitted to practice in all Kansas state courts, the federal District Court for Kansas and Western District of Missouri, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. He is married with two grown children and lives in Overland Park.

Insurance bad faith case with judgment in excess of $1 Million. Case clarified standards for dciding negligent failure to settle claims against insurance companies in Kansas.
Enfield v. A.B. Chance, 228 F.3d 1245 (10th Cir. 2000) — Case interpreted and applied K.S.A. 40-504 to determine the proper method for calculating an employer/workers compensation carrier's lien against a third party recovery in Kansas.
