Daniel Goldstein is Special Counsel in the Ball Janik LLP’s Portland office. His practice focuses on construction law and commercial litigation. Mr. Goldstein has successfully tried several cases to verdict, including complex construction cases tried to both juries and to the court, and has prosecuted many arbitrations and administrative hearings. In addition, he has successfully negotiated multi-million dollar settlements in complex residential construction defect matters. Mr. Goldstein also has significant experience in construction lien perfection procedures and foreclosure actions, Construction Contractors Board actions, and construction document review.
Prior to joining Ball Janik, Mr. Goldstein was an associate at another Portland area law firm where his practice focused on all aspects of construction law. He was also an in-house staff attorney for an insurance defense firm in Portland where he defended contractors and subcontractors, as well as various entities and individuals in general liability cases. Mr. Goldstein was recognized in the 2013 edition of the Best Lawyers in America in the area of Litigation – Construction.
