Daniel J. Kelley
Daniel J. Kelley is a shareholder with the Racine law firm of Schoone, Leuck, Kelley, Pitts & Pitts, SC. He received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1985. For more than 25 years his practice has been heavily concentrated in representing the interests of injured workers in southeastern Wisconsin and throughout the state in claims for Worker’s Compensation and Social Security Disability. He is a member of the Wisconsin Association for Justice and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.
Beecher v. LIRC, 2004 WI 88 — Beecher v. LIRC clarified the law regarding the burden of proof in a claim for permanent total disability. This decision by the Wisconsin Supreme Court has likely been a cause of an increase in the number of awards of permanent total disability in Wisconsin.
