Dan Steiner is a partner in Bull Housser's Business Law Group. He advises public and private companies, private equity funds and pension plans regarding mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, the purchase and sale of businesses, the formation and financing of business ventures and general corporate law matters. He was named Leveraged Buyouts & Private Equity Law "Lawyer of the Year" (Vancouver, 2015) by Best Lawyers in Canada.
Dan has extensive experience in Canada-U.S. and domestic transactions. He has advised clients involved in the infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, resource, entertainment, hospitality and transportation industries.
Prior to joining the firm in 2015, Dan was a partner in the Corporate and Securities Group of an international law firm. He was also an associate in the M&A group of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York from 2000 until 2002. He articled and then practised in Toronto from 1996 until 1999.
Dan is also involved in the community. He has served on the board of the Vancouver Aquarium and now serves on its Governors' Council. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Temple Sholom, the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Vancouver, and an advisory committee of the Jewish Family Service Agency. He has also served on an advisory committee for the Vancouver Opera.
