Mr. Routson's work with residential developers has involved all aspects of residential development, including land planning, zoning, subdivision, and sales. Mr. Routson has experience with the federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act and the North Carolina Condominium Act.
The majority of Mr. Routson's current practice involves assisting clients in the acquisition, development, leasing, and sale of commercial properties throughout North Carolina and the United States. Mr. Routson's commercial experience includes the purchase and sale of multi-story and multi-tenant high rise office buildings, hotels, shopping centers, business parks, and commercial business facilities and the negotiation and preparation of contracts with architects and builders in multi-million dollar construction projects.
Mr. Routson has extensive experience in commercial leasing - from both a landlord perspective and a tenant perspective. Mr. Routson's experience has included drafting and negotiating commercial ground leases and commercial space leases in single tenant and multi-tenant facilities. Mr. Routson also assists clients in interpreting leases, modifying leases, and resolving lease conflicts.
