Charles Nadeau is a partner in Stikeman Elliott's Montréal office. His practice centres on business litigation in which he represents public and private companies, and entrepreneurs on contentious and potentially contentious matters in several areas of corporate and commercial law. In particular, Mr. Nadeau has special expertise in shareholders disputes (oppression remedies), as well as in transactional and commercial disputes. Mr. Nadeau also has particular expertise in construction and real estate litigation, as well as in product liability litigation. In this context, he acts as coordinator of the office's construction group (litigation). He has acquired extensive experience in the determination of the quantum of damages, in the strategic management of litigation, and in pleading at all levels of the civil courts as well as in domestic and international arbitration and mediation proceedings.
