Patrick was born in Louisville,
Kentucky in 1960 and is a fourth generation attorney. He graduated
from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in 1982 and received
his Juris Doctorate from the University Of
Kentucky College Of Law in 1985. He was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in
1985 and is a member of the Louisville and
Kentucky Bar Associations. He is also a member of the United States
District Courts for both the Eastern and
Western Districts of Kentucky as well as the United States Sixth Circuit
Court of Appeals.
Patrick practiced his first 5 years with Woodward, Hobson & Fulton from 1985 to 1990 handling Worker's Compensation matters and insurance defense work. In 1990, he joined Ferreri & Fogle and further concentrated his practice in Workers' Compensation law. In 1997, Patrick and his partner, Judson Devlin, opened their own practice and have steadily grown the firm in the ensuing 15 years. Patrick was elected Chair of the Kentucky Bar Association's Worker's Compensation Section in 2013. Patrick is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named to Best Lawyers for Workers' Compensation defense work in 2013, 2014 & 2015.
Patrick married Linda Fulton in May 2005 and they have a
combined family with six children.
Patrick’s hobbies include squash, bicycling, mountaineering and hiking. He has
been a frequent seminar speaker on Kentucky
Workers’ Compensation issues.
